(11,12 and 18 May 2026).
As I was spending a couple of days in London—before and after a scheduled tour of Wales—I decided to explore some areas I had never been to, combining cultural visits, useful to my present research, and walks along the Thames and into two Royal Parks, displaying May’s lush vegetation. I also visited Ham House in Richmond, Surrey, only a 40 min-drive from London with the underground (District Line). Interestingly, this beautiful Jacobean house played the Palmers’ home, Cleveland, in the third episode of the 2008 BBC adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel, Sense and Sensibility.
I invite you to follow my footprints in the photo album below, and I hope you’ll enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed selecting the photos, which triggered many happy memories. Perhaps it will give you some inspiration for your next visit to London!
